Beyoncé performs "Standing on the sun" in Belgium. H&M pops dem bottles.

Beyoncé performs "Standing on the sun" in Belgium. H&M pops dem bottles | vmas2013.blogspot.co.uk

Beyoncé apparently has a new album coming out this year. But you would never know it given that this woman still has no new single out despite being a month and a half into a world tour and that she's only performed one new song on her Mrs. Pepsi show world tour.

Well, it seems Beyoncé had a realization as she was clapping her Amazonian thighs to the string of hits from 4 that she has new material playing on terrestrial TV around Europe and in every H&M store up and down the continent, and that she should probably start performing it. So in Antwerp, she did just that. She performed "Baby boy 2013" aka "Standing on the sun".

When I heard this in the commercial, I loved it. I now hear the song in full hear and I like it less. Something about the arrangement just feels off and incomplete. Reggaeyoncé's flow switching up on the second verse was a nice surprise. Couldn't make out a fucking thing she said though.
We won't hear the radio edit or album version of the song until Kelly Rowland's album leaks online. Hennes & Mauritzyoncé will almost certainly have Blue Ivy upload "Standing on the sun" to mediafire to try and snatch shine from Kelly's album.

Album art + tracklisting: Namie Amuro - Feel

Namie Amuro - Feel [CD] | vmas2013.blogspot.co.uk
Namie Amuro - Feel [CD + DVD] | vmas2013.blogspot.co.uk Namie Amuro - Feel [CD + Blu ray] | vmas2013.blogspot.co.uk

Namie Amuro may have failed us with the singles for upcoming album of hers, but boy did she come through with the album covers. The queen of Okinawa will release her 11th studio album Feel, which will release on July 10th, graced with what are some of her best album covers to date. Beautiful. Classic. Classier than your faves' album covers. This shit even has meaning, with Namie representing the proverbial mantra of 'see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil' on each individual cover. Loving this shit. LOVING IT WITH ALL MY HEART!

The album track listing is still to be finalized with the addition of 2 tracks (which I pray to Yevon are not "Damage" and "Beautiful") and the order may change upon release, but thus far it's as follows...

  1. Alive
  2. Big boys cry
  3. Can you feel this love
  4. Contrail
  5. Hands on me
  6. Heaven
  7. La La La
  8. Let me let you go
  9. Poison
  10. Supernatural love

A teaser is also in circulation which features the album track "Alive", which sounds like Madonna's "Jump" meets Daft Punk, meets Kevin Rudolf's "Let it rock".It also gives us a glimpse of what how the scramble crossing in Shibuya will more than likely look when this album drops.

Having seen this teaser and hearing a clip of a new Namie song I actually like, I am now slightly interested in this album. I hope Namie turns this shit out for the album tracks, because ain't nobody got time for "Big boys cly", "Contlail", "Can you feel zis lubu".

Namie Amuro will also be embarking on a tour to support this album, which will visit venues around Japan from August to December. It will be exactly like her last 20th anniversary tour, except with a few new songs. Once you've seen one Namie Amuro tour, you've seen them all. She wears the exact same ruffled skirts, the same tired arse boots, and guaranteed there will be at least one section in the gig where she dances with pom-poms.

Also, something which is a bigger deal than news outlets and blogs are giving it credit for is that Feel will be the first release from Namie's very own record label Dimension point. The name is derived from where Namie throws other bitches wigs. Into another dimension. Ayu best have her home girl sew dem tracks down, because her scalp is now officially NOT safe. All Dimension point releases will be distributed by Avex who also own the label, but Namie will be the manager of it.

Namie had expressed a desire to nurture new talent, but I for one didn't think she would actually set-up a new label as a means to do this. This is great move and goes a way towards shifting societies perception of what women in Japan should have the option to be. Not only has Namie defied odds of having a successful career in the wake of a young pregnancy, a divorce, the loss of a parent and a swift career decline that many thought she would not recover from, but she will now be a handling her own business. LITERALLY. I just hope she does sign new and / or existing artists and really nurture them. It would be a shame for somebody of Namie's iconic stature to have a platform to put artists in di spotligh', but not ever do it.

Music video: Hiromi - M

So, my ex-girl Hiromi has decided to jump on the covers bandwagon. Fuck Beni. I blame her for this mess.

Hiromi will be releasing a mini album of *self covers titled Incomplete -Traces of 5 years- on June 22nd. I have zero interest in this album, which is about the same amount of interest I had in her last studio album Honesty. I had such high hopes for this girl following her amazing debut, and all she's done since then is fall off. I do not know who she's blowing at Sugabee records to have a tour commissioned (Honesty tour 2013 coming to a Lotteria near you!!) and an advance on recording ANOTHER album. But Hiromi is staying on that Sugabee pay roll. I'm happy for her to still be in a position to keep releasing music, because she is being given lifelines other bitches would snatch a child for.

I hope Hiromi gives me a Rainbow throwback for her next full length album. Because I refuse to allow an artist with as much potential as Hiromi to just fall off, stay off and be walking off like this. Where is the girl who was giving me J-R&B realness 4 years ago!?

Listen to... Beyoncé - Grown woman

Beyoncé - Grown woman | vmas2013.blogspot.co.uk

Pepsiyoncé was ready to leave her stan n***as thirsty in the hive for new material. But that was until Kelly Rowland dropped "Dirty laundry" and caught a wave of praise in a storm of positive press. Home girl soon changed her tune and had Blue Ivy upload "Grown woman" to Zshare.

When "Grown woman" premiered in the Pepsi commercial, I liked the song, but didn't think it was anything special. But then I saw a video of Pepsiyoncé miming performing it on her tour and I fell in love with it. Her vocals were sassy, fun and energetic. And Timbaland's percussive backdrop provided the perfect soundtrack for Beyoncé to pop her pussy to and get down like she's at a Zambian bush party. But the studio recorded version sounds utterly tame and completely lax in comparison. Beyoncé's energy is at level 0. She sounds dead pan and controlled. There are no ad-libs. She doesn't go off on this shit the way she does when she performs it live and the backing vocals sound as though they are missing about 5 layers and a fat Suga mama. The whole thing is carried solely by Timbaland's production which is way more on point than I expected from him, even in lieu of his stellar work on The 20/20 experience. I needed Beyoncé to scream over this shit and give me full "Get me bodied" style neck snappin' with this shit. Not half arse the damn thing. I am disappoint.

As it is, "Grown woman" is the type of song which would need to be synonymous with a strong visual. It's my recollection of her miming performing it live which plays in my head every time I listen to the song and it's this which keeps me playing this song. I do like "Grown woman". The beat is as infectious as fuck. If you heard it drop in a club you would go to town on the floor like you are 3 tequila's gone at your cousin Oyindamola's birthday party. It is a cool encapsulation of Beyoncé's style as a whole. It's very typically her. But Beyoncé should have gone to town with the vocals. The song is a celebration of her as a woman and an artist, but I get none of that from her when I listen to this. I really do hope she re-records the vocals for the final version of the song.

Single art + info: Beni - Our sky

Beni - Our sky [CD + DVD] | vmas2013.blogspot.co.uk Beni - Our sky [CD] | vmas2013.blogspot.co.uk

Beni will be releasing her third original single following 2 years of releasing lifeless covers of other people's songs; completing her hat trick of flop singles following "Eien" and "Satsuki ame".

The latest Beni news to come through the wire is that she will also be releasing a brand new album on July 31. No tracklist or artwork has been revealed as-of-yet. But music outlets have begun listing this date as when Beni's new set drops. And often in J-Pop when this shit happens, it turns out to be pretty legit. So expect album info to surface real soon.

Given Beni's Mariah Carey like penchant for titling albums, we could probably guess what her next album is going to be called. So far we've had Girl 2 lady, Gem, Bitter & sweet, Lovebox, Jewel and Fortune. I say her next album will be called Vajazzle or Diamond. Or be a 2 disc album titled Diamond vajazzle.

I'd be lying through my teeth if I said I was looking forward to this new album of Beni's. She bludgeoned me within an inch of my life with her cover albums to the point where I began to lose interest in her. But I always respond to the muzak. So if Beni's new album drops and she gives me something on a level with Jewel or even Lovebox, then me and Beni will be cool again. I really hope she dials back on the ballads for this new album. She needs to stop chasing the pursuit of that iconic, memorable ballad which everybody will remember her for. Especially when they all sound like boring pieces of shit.

Perfume perform "Magic of love" on Music Japan. Nobody really cares.

If you feel how I do about "Magic of love", then you're probably over the song already and are just hoping that Perfume will hurry up and release an album or that Nakata will smoke the same crack he's on when he produces for Pamyu Pamyu's material for Perfume's next single.

It's a shame "Magic of love" isn't that great of a song, because aurally and visually its very current and on-trend without flaunting it unashamedly and coming off as though it's trying to be. The disco flavour of the song is rides the disco wave which is soon to sweep the Summer all thanks to Daft Punk's worldwide smash hit "Get lucky". And visually the girls are rocking 70's hair-do's and epileptic inducing prints, which apparently are back and 'in fashion' now. But the song is boring. I've not played it once since it released. Meanwhile, "Spending all my time" continues to get multiple plays, constant rewinds and has me walking backwards up stairs to the beat.

Album art + tracklisting: Kyary Pamyu Pamyu - Nanda collection

I'm not quite sure how this happened, but Pussy Pamyu's new album is on my list of anticipated albums of 2013.

Pussy Pamyu's second full length LP Nanda collection will be released on July 26th, the album title being a play on words. When the Japanese title is romanized it reads as 'What in the world is this collection?' What is what everybody is going to wonder when they see these albums covers in stores and they hear the songs. A more appropriate title may have been Nanda this shit desu ka.

Peep the full tracklist to Pussy Pamyu's Nanda collection below. I hope "Saigo no ice cream" is an anthem for giving head. There aren't enough J-Pop versions of those.

  1. Nandakorekushon
  2. Ninjari ban ban
  3. Kimi ni 100%
  4. Super scooter happy
  5. Invader invader
  6. Mi
  7. Fashion monster
  8. Saigo no ice cream
  9. Norikotonorio
  10. Furisodeshon
  11. Kura kura
  12. Otona na kodomo

I can't wait to hear this album because it could either turn out to be one of the best produced LP Nakata has crafted or it could be the worst. The singles thus far have all been decent and satisfied me in a way Perfume's singles have failed to post "Spending all my time".

I don't know who that bitch is on Pussy Pamyu's shoulder on the CD version of the album cover, but I fucking love her. Dat gapped out grill is giving me everything and the wig fits right. Ain't no ho snatching that.

Miming Mimi's Good morning America #performance

Miming Mimi's Good morning America #performance | vmas2013.blogspot.co.uk

I love it when Miming Mimi hits up a TV show to perform, because you always know this woman is going to give you some form of wreck. Whether it's something small, like shopping trolley wheeled into a lampost. A sizeable wreckage, such as a mini Coop into a cement bollard. Or a straight up train wreck.

When Mariah graced Good Morning America with her presence, not only did she sound a complete mess performing her new single "Hashtag Beautiful", but her dress popped open in the back after croaking of "Always be my baby" and she had a couple of mini diva meltdowns live on the stage which had to force the show into a commercial break. It was amazing.

Mariah sounded decent...up until she performed "Hashtag Beautiful". She was hitting notes flat, forgetting lyrics and miming her whistles. Lambs, you can come for me if you like. It won't change that your girl was miming those whistles. Miming Mimi's acting game is tight though. She was throwing her ass back into that seat and making that face like she was hitting those notes for real. Beyoncé wishes she had that type of acting talent.

Namie names her 11th studio album after the one thing she's unable to do. Feel.

Namie names her 11th studio album after the one thing she's unable to do. Feel | vmas2013.blogspot.co.uk

Namie Amuro will be dropping a new album this Summer. This is 150%. Ain't no joke. Home girl is slating that album to drop soon. It will be titled Feel, which sounds like a mess to me, but so did Uncontrolled. Especially when we all know that Namie doesn't look like she can 'feel' anything and is as 'controlled' as they come. But, whatever. No release date has been confirmed at time of writing, but with the Summer window being confirmed, we should have it by August. September the latest.

Namie has shot a PV for her frequent flyer anthem "Contrail" which should hit Space shower within the next few weeks. I imagine the video is going to look like "Only you" part 2, except with a weaker soundtrack - because I straight up have no love for the song. The shot above is taken from the set of the video.

I've not liked any song I've heard from Namie post "Damage". My anticipation for this new album is subterranean. I couldn't care any less about it if I tried. The Namie fan in my is fighting it though and hoping that the album material will be so good and compensate for the shittastic singles. But the pessimist in me who doesn't want his heart broken is not getting his hopes up.

I really do hope that Namie takes my advice and titles her next best album Les Namiserables.

Crystal Kay puts in work in the US. New English studio album on the way?

Crystal Kay puts in work in the US | vmas2013.blogspot.co.uk

For the past month there has been lots of speculation as to what our flop home girl Crystal Kay is up to. Constant Instagrams chronicling her time in the US, trips to the studio with well established songwriters and producers is leading everybody to believe that she is working on an English studio album. And rightly so. Everything seems to be pointing in that direction and it is something Crystal had mentioned a desire to do numerous times in recent interviews.

Sony may have been tight with those album advances, but Universal are cutting those cheques for CK to cash abroad. Thus far, Crystal has cut tracks in the States with...
All very high profile songwriters and producers who have hits in the bag. CK is NOT playing. She wants to see her name on that Billboard chart and remember what it feels like to be in the top 20 of the ORICON chart.

Crystal also recently did a shoot with the hotly in-demand fashion photographer duo Gomillion and Leupold who have shot album covers for Brandy, Jennifer Lopez, Jill Scott, Iggy Azalea, that flop bitch Cassie, that flop bitch Ciara, hot mess ho Ke$ha and wife beating n***a Chris Brown to name a few.

A new album from Crystal Kay is inevitable. Whether the follow up to Vivid truly is an English studio album for global release or just domestic - nobody knows. Crystal has often worked with US and European based song writers and producers for her domestic releases, so perhaps it's just business as usual. But the prospect of Crystal releasing an English language album for worldwide release is exciting, even though it won't sell a damn thing. Crystal still stands a better chance of selling anywhere else other than Japan though. Hikaru Utada and BoA went for the US because they were big in Japan and had a following in the US they felt they could tap into. CK is a flop in Japan and has a following in the US, so she has nothing to lose.

If Universal handle this next studio album correctly, it has the potential to take CK's career to the next level. That level CK should have been on about 5 years ago.

It's great to see that Crystal is staying active and that (as was the case with Vivid) she's broadening her net of musical and visual collaborators. Vivid was so on point, that she could have put that shit on iTunes globally and caught some extra fans and a few hundred downloads. I stay mad that the English version of "Yo yo" was not commissioned as a fully fledged single. If there was ever a song to act as taste for CK's English language material, it was that song right there. And don't even get me started on "I can't wait" and "It's a crime". And then there's the Summer funk / disco crack that is "My heart beat". That right there should have had a video and a version recorded in English. My n***a Nile Rodgers would have loved dat shit.

Music video: Lee Hyori - Miss Korea

What I initially thought was Lee Hyori being ballsy and proclaiming to every woman in South Korea to take a seat, is actually a declaration of how stupid ideals of beauty are. Easy to say when you look as hot as Lee Hyori does. But shade aside, "Miss Korea" is a great song, with an equally great video. It'd be easy for Hyori to do another "Chitty chitty bang bang", but instead she's giving us substance and leaving all that vacuous shit to the younger girls.

Lee Hyori's vocals leave A LOT to be desired. There are many women in K-Pop who could have sung this better. The 60's vibe is right up the Wonder girls street and they'd already done this whole black and white thing for "Be my baby". And Ga-In is a chick who comes to mind as somebody who would have killed this song and video. But credit where it's due, Hyori does a good job. Let's see how long it takes before a plagiarism claim comes out of the woodwork. Or VOGUE and fashion houses order a cease and desist of the video because  of unlicensed use of their logos.

Music video: Mariah Carey featuring Miguel - #Beautiful

If Mariah Carey hasn't learnt by now, she never will. I have been saying for years that this woman needs a new team of stylists, make-up artists and visual directors - because this whole overblown Marilyn Monroe sex kitten act is tired and making Mariah look unflatteringly unsexy. But Mariah's doing as Mariah always does. If she hasn't changed by now, she never will.

She looked hot on the bike. (I took note of the camera angles and home girl holding in her stomach, because I KNOW Mariah ain't got that E=MC² body back). But it was still awkward to watch. The scene in the barn made me want to scratch my eyes out. Was there any point in her even wearing the dress when she was lifting up the skirt to flash her ass and her pussy the whole entire time!? This woman has kids. It seems despite entering the world of motherhood, she failed to pick up that introductory flyer on 'tact'. Watching animals talk as a rat goes face down in lettuce in Charlotte's web was sexier than watching Mariah wind machine it in a barn.

'DOCTOR WHO' RECAP: LET ME UPGRADE YOU (SEASON 7, EPISODE 12)

We've long waited for a more personal look into the life of the Doctor and his adventures. And oh, did things ever get personal tonight during writer Neil Gaiman's return to Doctor Who, "Nightmare in Silver." The penultimate chapter in series (oops, sorry Americans: season) 7 found our fair Doctor battling one of his oldest enemies: the Cybermen. Seemingly extinct for thousands of years at this point in time and space, the oft-hokey baddie went ahead and upgraded itself for 2013 — causing a turn for the terrifying at Hedgewick's World of Wonders, the now-defunct theme park planet home that once was the most terrific place in time and space. The biggest and the best there ever was: so what happened?
The Recap Itself
Well: the Cybermen have been reborn and they're hardly the bad guy we remember (that's a good thing). The Doctor arrived at Hedgewick's with Clara, Artie, and Angie (her two wards from the first episode, "The Bells of Saint John") in tow, only to discover that the planet theme park is now closed by Imperial Order from the Emperor of the human race that we later learn to be actor Warwick Davis, a.k.a. Porridge.
Davis' work as the Emperor stands alone, to me, as one of the best guest stars the show has seen this season, and his parallels with the Doctor and his scenes with Clara were some of the best moments of emotional expositing we've encountered. From his mourning of the Tiburion Galaxy ("I feel like a monster sometimes. Because instead of mourning a million trillion dead people, I just feel for the bloke who had th push the button.") to the secrets he kept to protect his people, the parallels between the Emperor and the Doctor were great. The Emperor — just like the Doctor — abandoned his home planet to protect the human race. Lonely monsters indeed.
We also met the weirdly Willy Wonka-esque Webly, who has his own ship of Wonders burrowed into the ground, complete with wax work (like the phrase "human wax works" was seen on alley signs in "The Crimson Horror"?) statues of some of the most infamous creatures the universe has ever seen. And if that wasn't enough to give you a serious case of the heeby-geebies, surely the next bit would.
How about a game, friends? Better yet: how about a game of chess with a Cyberman! Eek. Seems a simple enough task, but sure did turn high stakes rather quickly. Chess seems to be a bit of repetitive storytelling, as it was this very game that he used to manipulate the man that worked for The Silence in "The Wedding of River Song." (Live chess to be exact. Man's name was Gantok.) But yet, the game of chess goes from simple to deadly after a group of Cybermites (one of a seeming unending and constantly evolving set of upgrades the clunky baddies made to become truly terrifying) have attached themselves to the Doctor to be upgraded into the system, and therefore fully integrated to what are — according to a plaque on the wall — "The Great Enemy." But if the enemy is so Great, why didn't they use that crazy-fast-run-walk-speedy-thingy all the time? Certainly to unwit the Doctor, you must outrun him. And nothing is scarier than the thought of someone who could ever outrun the Doctor.
Turns out the Cybermen were alive the whole time, merely in wait — but waiting for what? Waiting for children, or a savior of a kind? But if it was just anyone they wanted — why not use Webly or the Emperor or one of the members of the Imperial Guard? Because these Cybermen, I think, were waiting for either the Doctor or his companions. (Because who else can defeat the Doctor but the Doctor himself, eh?)
Now it seems, the Doctor is fighting against time at both ends — stuck yet again in the middle of two warring sides.
Clara is put in charge of the guard and they head off to the "comical castle," which is just a lovely way for Gaiman to inject a bit of humor into the episode's seemingly perma-zingy dialogue. Gaiman was at his best when characters were communicating with one another. Except of course, when he was at his greatest — which was when he was writing for the Doctor and this Cyber-Planner alterna-Doctor.
Here, for me, is where the episode really sung and Gaiman's strengths were most effective: Matt Smith playing two sides of himself. I know I'm prone to a bit of hyperbole here and there (and everywhere), but seriously: Matt's Doctor/Cyber-Planner/Mr. Clever (which, "clever" !!!!) moments were a tightrope act of balance and performance that he pulled off with a level of deft and precision that I thoroughly enjoyed. Honestly, it's such a delight to see the Doctor's wits used against him and Smith pulls it off with a startling intelligence. Playing those different aspects of the Doctor's personality against one another is where Smith's talents as an actor shine the brightest, I think. My Doctor might always been Ten, but Eleven really has won me over this season. His performances are always far more dynamic that many fans give them credit for because it's hard to see just how nuanced they are until all the pieces have been set. When people go back for a second look at this season, they'll like it a lot more than they do now.
But let's get back to the story. Hedgewick's World of Wonder was simply a trap designed to capture children to use to make more Cybermen. Children's brains are far more malleable and therefore, easily upgraded. Children are the future, as they say. (Teach them well and let them lead the waaaaay!) Infinite potential, which in turn means they're so much more than just a bunch of spare parts for repairs. Apparently, the next model of Cybermen "will be undefeatable."
Undefeatable, likely due to the Doctor's mind. And in his mind we learn so much and yet so little — only what the Doctor wants Mr. Clever here to see.
Like the moments of regeneration. Which: Hello! We need to talk about this. The giant explosion between Ten and Eleven is a bit of a game-changer, is it not? Because it gives us an alternate we never thought of: what if something happened between Ten and Eleven. And what was that "thing"? What does it mean? Was there once a missing Doctor there? Is he sealed within the Time War? Is Eleven actually not the Eleventh Doctor, but the Twelfth? The moment didn't give us much, visually. But here's what we saw in that "explosion":
It looked like the wisps of regeneration, but with a green light in the right-hand corner. Is that a planet? The one from Ahkaten? Or, is that when Oswin Oswald erased him from history, in turn creating a paradox (where there are two Doctors living two different realities of time (with him and without him)? I wonder if [POTENTIALLY SPOILERY STUFF AHEAD] this weird blip in time is what ties John Hurt's upcoming guest role in the 50th into the storyline. [POTENTIALLY SPOILERY STUFF DONE] All the other Doctor renegerations flowed fluidly from one to the next up until that point: why was it so disruptive when Ten rengerated into Eleven? (Or is this all just because Ten was feelin' bratty and not ready to let go at the end there?)
The Doctor used his threat of insta-regeneration to successfully keep Mr. Clever from fully integrating the Doctor's brain into the main Cyber hub. "After me, who knows what'll pop out," the Doctor threatened. There's .223% of the Doctor's brain up for grabs, and whoever controls this controls the whole Doctor. What is that .223%? Is that the mental Clara block? Is there a battle between the two Doctors to control Clara, or is that .223% the "sliver of ice" that Emma Grayling mentioned during "Hide"? Regardless, it's apparently nothing a wee game of chess can't solve.
So we all know that the Doctor's been eliminating himself from history (thanks to the help of good ole Oswin Oswald), but did he not consider the fact that doing so could cause one seriously epic paradox? All the good he'd done just, what, vanished without consequence? Please. The repercussions are bound to be insane. Because as Mr. Clever told us: "You know you could be reconstructed by the hole you've left." Like... out of spare parts? ("We didn't have the parts." - a line from one of those clocks from "The Girl in the Fireplace." AGAIN, I know! I'm obsessed.) Perhaps this is why the Doctor's companions are all being chased after: through their eyes and minds the Doctor can be reconstructed and used as a weapon.
Still, the Doctor has a golden ticket, and utilized that gold to interfere with the Cyber-interface, giving him slightly greater (albeit temporary) control over the flip and flop between Mr. Clever and himself. And in those moments, the Doctor is able to leverage a side of him we rarely ever see him use: his emotions. Emotions are seen as the enemy, and losing the game of chess was an act of emotion that landed the Doctor in a position of control again (also thanks to Porridge's expertly-timed entrance into the fold with the cybertech-killing hand-thingy). Oh also also Time Lords invented chess. What a bunch of clever folks!
They're not the only clever ones, though: turns out Angie figured out pretty early on that Porridge was in fact the long-missing Emperor of the human race. Upon defeating Mr. Clever and all of the Cybermen, we were transported to a ship that looked a heck of a lot like the place where Rose Tyler and Nine saw the world explode. And here, again, we see the world explode.
The Emperor finishes out the episode with a monologue about how people will keep a close eye on him now that he's been found. A post he calls the loneliest in the universe: being the emperor. A job, Clara insisted, didn't have to mean he was lonely. Naturally, the Emperor has fallen a bit for Clara (haven't we all in a way?) and  offers her a proper marriage proposal: Clara, Queen of the Universe! One small hitch: Clara does not want to rule a thousand galaxies. Lucky for the Emperor though, because if he's still looking, it's a title Angie seems quite keen to tackle: "When someone asks you to be Queen of the Universe, you say yes. You watch. One day: I'll be Queen of the Universe." Ooh snap, could Angie be Liz Ten from the early days of Amy and Eleven ("The Beast Below")? I think I'd like that, really.
Loose Ends:
- Angie got a new phone as a "gift from the TARDIS." Interesting!
- "See you next Wednesday." Oh, wait, does Clara only go on adventures with the Doctor on Wednesdays? He says, "Well, A Wednesday," signifying that he never knows when he'll see her next, either.
- Upon making a slightly objectifying comment about Clara: "What are you?" the Doctor asks himself. And for once, I don't think he's talking about Clara.

Music video: Perfume - Magic of love

This video is like "One room disco", "Fushizen na girl" and "Spice" with a bit of "Voice" - which makes it AWESOME! It does a great job of making the song much more likeable. Despite being a good song, it's not Perfume's most instantly likeable single. But the the video gave me a newfound liking of it. Not enough to pull me away from "Glitter" and "Spending all my time". But I'm willing to give this song more time of the day than "Mirai no museum", which was a giant piece of shit and I don't care which children's movie that shit was for. Crystal Kay was still able to give me a banger for Pokémon. These bitches should have done the same.

"Magic of love" is not a song I'd ever play, but I could gladly sit and watch the video again. Although hearing Nocchi sing kills a percentage of her sex appeal. She has the worst voice in the group. THE worst. It's no wonder why Nakata auto tunes the bitch.

Listen... Perfume - Magic of love

Perfume - Magic of love | vmas2013.blogspot.com

Let's get one thing straight. "Magic of love" is an upgrade from "Mirai no museum". I can actually listen to this song without wanting to throw up in my own mouth.

Much in the same way we were all punk'd when the "Spring of life" teaser dropped, we got punk'd in exactly he same way upon hearing "Magic of love" in the TV commercial - which gave absolutely no sign that the verses would feature such a drastic change in melody. The melody change on the verses isn't the only shocker. The girls get solo spots void of any backing vocals, auto tune or vocoding. It's refreshing to hear and adds a completely new element to the song as you get to hear the robohoes sing in a way we've not heard before. But it pretty much confirms that these bitches really cannot sing. I love Nocchi like I love my Super Nintendo. But she can't sing to save a life.

I'm on the fence with "Magic of love". But the more I listen to it, the more I like it. I think "Magic of love" is going to be a slow burner for me. I'll probably love it by the time they release the album it features on, but until then I'll keep playing the shit out of "Spending all my time". Yes. I still play that repetitive, Engrished out EDM jam. It's perfection.

I've not been wholly in love with Perfume's singles this era with the exception of "Spending all my time", which is leaving me concerned for the album which will follow. If Nakata isn't bastardizing the girls' sound, he's playing it wholly safe. Pussy Pamyu is getting the best of his material for her singles which is making Perfume's shit sound even worse.

The 20/20 experience gets itself a world tour and a second half

The 20/20 experience gets itself a world tour and a second half | vmas2013.blogspot.co.uk

Justin Timberlake has announced he will embark on a world tour. Which is about as much news as Pepsiyoncé pussy popping on hers. But the interesting tid bit is that the second volume of The 20/20 experience is 150% FO' REALS and has been given an official release date of September 30th, just before the world tour kicks off - which means he will be performing all of the new material from his albums. D'you hear that Henney's & Maurtizyoncé!? NEW MATERIAL BEFORE A WORLD TOUR! Johnny Wright needs to holla at her people.

The 20/20 experience is a nice album as a whole, which flowed nicely, but was lacking that extra sauce his previous albums had. So I'm rather eager to hear this second part and see if it will fill in the gaps left by its other half. Will it follow the same vibe as the part 1, or will it be completely different? Will Timbaland and J-Roc still be the primary producers of it!? I'd love it if Pharrell produced it in its entirety. I'm beginning to wonder if those studio sessions with Pharrell and Justin I'd heard about were a myth.

I've never been to a JT gig, but would like to go. Say what you will about this dude, but he knows how to put on a show. He is one of the few artists who came up during the pop explosion of the late 90's early 00's who is still around and still able to shut it down live. It's certainly more than can be said for his ex girlfriend...

Pharrell 'performs' Daft Punk's "Get lucky" for the first time

Pharrell 'performs' Daft Punk's "Get lucky" for the first time | vmas2013.blogspot.co.uk

Daft Punk have gone straight in at number 1 on the singles chart in 12 countries with their disco funk perfection that is "Get lucky" despite having no full length music video or so much as performing it live. But Pharrell did the honours at a HTC launch event. If I were Daft Punk I wouldn't know whether to be flattered or pissed off, because this performance was...well...see it for yourself.

Pharrell. You my n***a dawg and I love you. But what the fuck was this!? You weren't even singing to a backing track. You straight up had your homie play the radio edit of the song off of iTunes. And where was Daft Punk!? I am disappoint Pharrell. DISAPPOINT N***A!

On a slightly unrelated note, does this Pharrell even age!?

Album art: Kelly Rowland - Talk a good game

Album art: Kelly Rowland - Talk a good game | vmas2013.blogspot.co.uk

Beyoncé's ex back-up singer has released 2 singles about her pussy, so it's only right she sells some sex on her album cover and boy does she sell it. Kelly McRowland looks hawt! Kelly's display of strategically covered titty and choice of wig looks much better and sexier than Beyonce's on 4. Just putting that out there.

Kelly's third studio flop is slated for a June 18th release. We all wondered why Beyoncé hadn't let the cat out of the bag regarding her album release date. This is why. She was waiting for Kelly to announce her shit first so she could doo-doo on her from a great height with a release date which throws Kelly's chances of success into utter jeopardy. Not that she needs Beyoncé to do this. Kelly is capable of flopping all by herself. Let's all set our watches for Pepsiyoncé to announce her album is dropping the week before Kelly's and that she's making an in-store appearance at the grand opening of a new store H&M in NYC the day Kelly's album drops. Beyoncé won't let the step children of destiny catch no shine.

If Talk a good game is more Ms. Kelly than Here I am, then I'll be pleased. But if it's going to be 13 tracks of Kelly singing about the needs of her pussy, then I'm going to have to pass. And based on "Ice", "Kisses down low", the album title and the album cover, all signs are pointing towards Kelly's vagina.

Music video: Iggy Azalea - Bounce

Iggy is that girl that makes shit work. Whether she's sitting on some American neighbourhood door stop rapping about pussy, popping for a red-neck about how she git dat work, or goes Bollywood glam about making the booty bounce - she always sells it.

"Bounce" is Iggy's most commercial sounding song to date and her first which sounds like it could be a worldwide hit. Too bad it's only releasing in Europe, which isn't such a bad thing because this song is pretty Euro-centric, even with all of the Indian flourishes. Featuring production from London based trio The invisible men and also sounding like something from London's darling M.I.A.

The video to this song is amazing. Iggy's visuals to date have all been cool, quirky and avoid the common denominators. Rather than shoot a video which features girls twerking and booty clapping in a car park full of n***a's, Iggy puts on a Sari, shimmy's with her Indian home girls and rides an elephant through Mumbai.

Kashiyuka snatches Chun-Li's wig in the preview of Perfume's "Magic of love" music video.

After boring us to tears with their music videos for "Spending all my time" and "Mirai no museum", Perfume are back on that playful, colourful, somebody-was-in-the-editing-room-until-early-hours-to-match-the-trickery-swag for "Magic of love".

These Robohoes had better not skimp with the dance routine. Perfume have developed a horrible habit of not dancing full routines in their music videos (in the case of "Spending all my time", not dancing at all) and then performing the song live and snatching everything within a mile radius with the full routine (i.e "Spending all my time").

I'm still not in love with the song, but the visuals are more of what you would expect from a Perfume video, following a deviation on their past 3 music videos; and that I do like.

KASHIYUKA'S KICK THO!!! She kicked that shit so fast that the pussy didn't know what day of the week it was when those legs opened and that foot went up.

Music video: Kyary Pamyu Pamyu - Invader Invader

This is my fucking jam. Fuck a "Ninjari bang bang". Nakata is giving Pussy Pamyu the magic and throwing Perfume's shit under a Golden week rickshaw. The production on this song is fire. I can't even talk out the side of my mouth about the inclusion of dubstep, because it works. It just...works. It's almost a shame it went to Pussy Pamyu because an extra bit in the way of vocals would have made this song top 10 errrthang.

Whilst the song is an A, the video is a Z. This video is a piece of shit. It's pretty much a re-enactment of her "Invader Invader" performances from her 'world' tour, except somebody actually coughed up some yen for some form of stage set. This girl is getting cheques from Sega, Big echo, G.U and Adidas. So, why are her videos progressively getting worse and looking cheaper?

Listen to... #Beautiful - Starring Mariah Carey & Miguel

Mariah Carey featuring Miguel - #Beautiful | vmas2013.blogspot.com

Originally tagged as '#Beautiful starring Mariah Carey & Miguel', it should be renamed 'Miguel featuring Mariah Carey'. Because it sounds like Mariah hopped right onto Miguel's shit. Fuck a Mariah album. This should be on a re-reissue of Kaleidoscope dream.

I love this song though and I'm surprised at how strong Mariah's vocals sound. I was expecting her to sound like Bea Arthur on a respirator. But this song could have been just as hot without Mariah on it. Or alternatively just Mariah on it. The song doesn't feel like much of a duet and you never get the feeling Mariah and Miguel are singing about one another - which is fine. But there just seems to be no chemistry.

The one thing I've always liked about when Mariah has features on her songs is that they feel like more than your average feature - with Mariah and her featuring artist going back and forth vocally or with Mariah singing along to the bars of rappers. It always feels like a co-effort with Mariah being unselfish in sharing mic time, sometimes too much so. But with the way this song is arranged, it feels as though Miguel just gmailed Mariah the track and was like "Just put your vocals in the section where my ass ain't singing". Their vocals never intertwine and meld together they way I feel they should have. It's a shame, because the song is really nice. It's one of the hottest songs Mariah's been affiliated with in a while and I dig it because it's completely different for her. I just wish Mariah and Miguel had more of a vocal chemistry.

And this hashtagging of song titles needs to stop. That shit is tacky.

Music video: Eve - EVE

The girl who used to get budgets to have Hype Williams, Paul Hunter and Little X direct her music videos has had to resort to having her friend shoot her with a Galaxy S3 as she wanders around East London. Eve has clearly fallen on hard times. That Ruff Ryder well of funds has been tapped drier than DMX's arsehole in prison. "Eve" is very UK in its sound, fusing elements of dubstep and grime - so for the video to be shot in London and look like a Channel U video is very fitting. But for it to look this budget is a damn shame. The budget was so tight that Eve couldn't even afford a lace front and some glue.

Girls. Don't ever resort to wearing hats with the weave sewn into the rim as Eve does here. This look is not the one.

Music video: Janelle Monáe featuring Erykah Badu - Q.U.E.E.N

"Q.U.E.E.N" hasn't immediately grabbed me in the way that "Violet stars happy hunting!" and "Many moons" did. I think it's one of her weakest singles. The only part of the song I like is Janelle's rap at the end. Janelle snatched rappers wigs from a distance like Doctor Otto Octavius with that shit. Her flow is TIGHT.

I've always admired how despite having low ass budgets, Janelle's always pulled it out of the bag with her music videos to deliver something which not only suits the song, but visually looks rich. Whether it be the story being told, the setting or just Janelle's swag in general. This video also lays the rumours to rest that Janelle can't look feminine and has never worn a dress. (Run Janelle Monáe's name through Google images and you can easily find pictures of her in dresses). Although I had no idea Janelle had it quite like that with the legs and the booty. She was looking right in dem heels. Those of you who frequent this blog know I am all about females in heels who can spread their legs open and Janelle gave it to me and did so with class. It's nice to see a chick in the game retain it amidst filthy tramps such as Rihanna who posts pictures on Instagram with roll ups and cigars hanging out of her pussy for all to see.

Funk and disco could be making a comeback if Justin Timberlake, Daft Punk and Janelle's solid offerings are anything to go by...
